Perhaps I misread, but is there any training for teachers to understand the tiers of RtI? I know many don't understand all the tiers and what they are supposed to be implementing in the classroom rather than pulling the students out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sandra. I have been teaching 4th grade for 8 years now, and I have never been trained on RtI or the Tiers. But other than that, your plan looks great and very well thought out. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same thing. We began to implement RTI last year as part of extra tutorials, but with my position, I was never involved. I am interested to see how using this standardized model can map out the RTI process for the year. A possible suggestion for step 18 or your internship plan it to see how changing this process affected your teachers and students. That could be an entire research project by itself. Great job.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your action research plan! I appreciate your attention to detail, and your thoroughness. Your plan is intricately laid out, and I'm sure you'll be excited to see your research results.
Keep it up!
